Hello London

Over the weekend, I found myself in London exploring The British Museum. I really liked the more mystical items, the Egyptian amulets and astrological clocks. I found a lot of inspiration walking through Regent’s Park too, and admiring the trees that had burst into bloom. Here in Toronto, that won’t be happening for a few weeks.

Even though I was really tired (didn’t sleep when I got in after the flight!), I was pretty happy with my map at hand. Amazingly, I managed not to get lost. I must have seemed pretty confident, because (hilariously..) three different groups of teenage tourists asked me for directions. Huh??? My lack of English accent totally gave me away though so they weren’t too disappointed when I didn’t know.

If the weather really is like that every day, grey and drizzly, I can completely understand the need for bright colours. It seemed like everyone I passed was dressed in something really bright, which was a nice change from Toronto where it seems everyone’s outwear is black and grey. The red buses and telephone booths help break up the grey too.
