I have been having computer issues so much lately… -_-0  It makes it super frustrating to try and edit and upload photos, but FINALLY I am all caught up!

Koh Phi Phi is a real party island. It was completely crazy, and this is the rainy season! I can’t even imagine what it must be like in the high season. We had a great time hanging out at the beach, eating so many noodles and sea food. The food was amazing.

We didn’t stay in a super fancy hotel (Arboreal Resort), but it was clean and close to everything you could want on Phi Phi. Walking there from the ferry docks, no one knew where it was so we wandered around for a long time before finding it. The only thing that we didn’t like was all the stairs leading up to it!! After the couple hours long ferry ride and no sleep, the stairs were a real challenge. With all of the eating and drinking we were doing it probably was necessary.

We drank a lot of fresh juice and smoothies from little stands here and there. The fruits are so fresh. My favourite juice was the “happy buffalo” which was a more like a smoothie of lime, apple, and mint. So unexpected and yummy! I will have to try to recreate it.

Also if you go to Phi Phi Don Beach at night there are fire dancers outside all of the beach bars. Consider yourself warned, if you volunteer to dance with them you might get burnt, but my friend Caitlyn managed to make it out unscathed. Seems especially dangerous after drinking the “buckets”: a children’s sand bucket, full of booze and two cans of pop. People carry them around on the beach, sipping on them — hopefully — all day long, but something tells me it goes down a little faster than that.

I didn’t have the courage to participate in the fire dancing, and was basically panicky the whole time thinking Caitlyn’s big curly hair was going to be singed at any moment. Don’t laugh so hard… another woman who volunteered did end up with her hair getting a little crispy!
